Description
This opportunity funds projects that advance wildland fire fuels management and community fire assistance across federal and adjacent non-federal lands. The program aims to reduce the intensity, severity, and negative impacts of wildfires, build fire-adapted communities, and support local capacity for wildfire mitigation and preparedness. Activities may include fuels treatments, fire education and training, community wildfire planning, job creation related to fire management, and implementation of monitoring and maintenance plans for hazardous fuels reduction. The program is intended to foster partnerships, support local employment, and align with federal conservation and wildfire resilience priorities.
