    Description

The Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences at the California Institute of Technology invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Scholar Teaching Fellowship beginning in time for Caltech’s fall term in 2027. The fellowship welcomes scholars working in philosophy of science, broadly construed, and closely related areas, rather than focusing on a particular topic within the field.

The appointment combines scholarly work with a defined undergraduate teaching commitment: two approximately ten-week courses in the first year and three courses in the second year. Applicants are asked to articulate their approach to classroom instruction, student mentorship, and fostering an inclusive environment for students who bring different perspectives and experiences to Caltech.
