Description
The Research Council of Norway funds capacity-building projects that strengthen collaboration between regional industry, research organisations and educational institutions. Projects must build research capacity and expertise, and develop study programmes and continuing professional development that meet regional industrial demand. The goal is increased regional value creation, stronger industrial competitiveness and more relevant research and education partners for industry.
The call focuses on circular economy and regional industrial symbiosis: collaboration among companies to use materials, energy, land, water and by-products efficiently while minimising waste. Projects should improve access to research expertise and educated labour, strengthen collaboration among participating companies, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and resource losses. A region means the geographical area where the industrial sector is located, not necessarily a county.
