Description
This grant funds international partnerships in higher education aimed at strengthening universities and education systems in Sub-Saharan Africa. Projects must address priorities such as green and sustainable economic recovery, digital transformation, integration of migrants, governance and human development, and sustainable growth and jobs. The action is closely linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Agreement, and the EU's Global Gateway strategy, supporting quality, modernization, and responsiveness in higher education to address socio-economic recovery and global challenges. Projects are organized into three strands:
- Strand 1: Fosters access for less experienced institutions, focusing on capacity building, inclusivity, and administrative modernization.
- Strand 2: Supports transformative partnerships for innovation and reform, including curriculum development, new learning methods, and institutional change.
- Strand 3: Enables structural reforms in collaboration with national authorities, targeting systemic improvements in higher education aligned with Global Gateway priorities.
