Description
The AATS Foundation Cardiac Surgical Robotic Fellowship is designed to deliver comprehensive, advanced training in robotic cardiac surgery for North American cardiac surgeons with significant mitral valve repair experience. The program aims to ensure robust skill development through a structured curriculum that combines prerequisite simulation and systems training, direct observation of robotic cases, hands-on proctoring at the awardee’s institution, and ongoing mentorship. Awardees are expected to return to their institutions equipped to implement or expand advanced cardiac robotics programs, with continued reporting and engagement with the AATS Foundation.
