Description
The Burroughs Wellcome Fund’s Career Awards for STEM Teachers program honors and supports exemplary STEM educators in North Carolina public primary and secondary schools. The award is designed to foster professional growth, leadership development, and collaboration among master STEM teachers, empowering them as leaders within their schools and districts. Special consideration is given to teachers in hard-to-staff or economically disadvantaged classrooms and those integrating environmental science and climate change into their curricula. The program aims to drive systemic improvement in K–12 STEM education by recognizing teachers who are change agents, elevating student achievement and instructional quality across North Carolina.
