Description
This program, administered by Iowa Workforce Development (IWD), funds the expansion and modernization of physical training infrastructure at Iowa community colleges and private-sector apprenticeship programs (unionized or nonunionized). The goal is to increase the capacity to train workers in high-demand fields vital to Iowa's economy, such as healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and skilled trades. Funding may be used for constructing new facilities, expanding or modifying existing training spaces, and purchasing equipment that directly increases the number of trainees in eligible programs.
