The Carnegie Research Fellowship Program, established by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and administered by the National Council for Eurasian and East European Research (NCEEER), supports scholars from Russia and former Soviet states to conduct short-term, non-degree research at American universities and research institutions. Fellows spend up to four months at a host institution, working on a defined research project in the social sciences or humanities. The program aims to strengthen regional academic communities, foster collaboration with Western scholars, and promote the integration of participants into international academic networks. Upon return, fellows are expected to present their research, contribute to their home institutions and Centers for Advanced Study and Education (CASEs), and seek peer review.
