The CARRA-Arthritis Foundation Flex Fund provides rapid, supplemental funding to support the completion of pediatric rheumatology research projects that have experienced a reduction or termination of federal funding within the last 12 months. This grant aims to ensure continuity of critical research by enabling investigators to achieve key milestones and deliverables, particularly for projects aligned with the mission of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA): advancing collaborative research in pediatric rheumatic diseases. The Flex Fund is awarded three times per year and emphasizes the importance of collaboration among academicians, clinicians, patients, and families.
