Description
The Center for Advanced Study (CAS) Fellows program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is designed to recognize and support outstanding untenured, tenure-track assistant professors. Fellows are provided with one semester of release from teaching duties during the academic year, allowing them to devote significant time to an individual scholarly or creative project. The program also fosters intellectual exchange through participation in annual roundtable discussions, presentations at CAS events, and integration into the CAS community alongside Professors and Associates. The initiative aims to encourage new research and creative work, contributing to the vibrant academic environment at UIUC.
