Description
The Catalyst Accelerator Awards at UCSF are designed to advance innovative research projects with strong potential for clinical implementation or commercialization. Through a two-step process, the program provides mentorship, industry guidance, and expert advice to help principal investigators (PIs) move promising therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices, or digital/computational health solutions along the translational pathway. Awardees benefit from tailored milestone advancement plans, coaching on market and stakeholder discovery, and strategic support to refine their commercialization strategies. The program emphasizes intellectual property development and the translation of impactful, scalable innovations to improve patient outcomes and foster commercial development.
