Description
The Catalyst Accelerator Awards are designed to propel innovative, early-stage translational research projects led by UCSF faculty that have strong potential for clinical implementation or commercialization. The program provides a structured, milestone-driven pathway: selected projects first receive a Consultation Award (mentorship and strategic planning), followed by the potential for a Final Award (funding and continued advisory support). Projects must address unmet medical needs and demonstrate feasibility with pilot or proof-of-concept data. The program emphasizes development of intellectual property and the translation of novel, impactful, and scalable solutions in therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices, or digital/computational health.
