--- ## Description This grant supports middle and high school science educators seeking to enhance chemical safety in their classrooms and laboratories. Funding (up to $3,000) can be used for a variety of activities, including attending safety workshops, acquiring personal protective equipment (PPE), participating in professional development focused on safety, obtaining Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) training, improving inventory and ordering systems, hiring safety consultants, and covering substitute teacher pay for safety-related activities. The grant encourages the integration of chemical safety into curricula, the adoption of best practices (such as RAMP: Recognize, Assess, Minimize, and Prepare), and improvements to safety infrastructure.
