The CCSS+CPC Summer & Fall Grant Writing Incubators, part of the CCSS + CPC Grant Development Program at Cornell University, provide a scaffolded, cohort-based experience to help social and population scientists develop strong proposals for major external funders such as NIH, NSF, and major foundations. The program features a yearlong development model, including panel discussions, workshops, structured writing incubators, and individualized expert feedback. Selected participants (Writing Fellows) meet every 2–3 weeks virtually during the summer, continue proposal development in the fall, and conclude with a writing retreat. Additional support includes external expert reviews, professional editing, and mock review panels to maximize proposal competitiveness.
