Description
This funding opportunity aims to protect and improve public health globally by strengthening multisectoral laboratory systems. The program focuses on:
- Enhancing public health laboratory systems and quality management
- Improving the laboratory workforce
- Advancing biorisk management practices
- Reinforcing emergency laboratory preparedness, aligned with the 7-1-7 outbreak response paradigm
- Expanding diagnostic capacity, including rapid tests for low-resource settings and genomic sequencing for pathogens with pandemic potential
Special consideration is given to applicants previously funded under CDC-RFA-GH20-2109 who propose to expand efforts in additional countries.
