    Description

    This funding opportunity aims to address global public health workforce development needs by strengthening the capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to diseases and public health priorities, including outbreaks. The program emphasizes building and sustaining epidemiological workforce capacity at the global level through collaboration, program development, and implementation.

    Key activities include:

    • Supporting Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETP) and other relevant workforce development initiatives.
    • Facilitating collaboration and networking among programs, regional networks, and partners.
    • Providing training, organizing scientific conferences and meetings, and establishing standards for accreditation and credentialing.
    • Conducting monitoring and evaluation, and enhancing communication among stakeholders.
