The Center for Advanced Semiconductor Fabrication Research & Education (CAFÉ) is a multi-institutional, interdisciplinary center designed to advance both research and education in semiconductor fabrication and development. Funded by a $3 million grant from Intel, CAFÉ brings together faculty and students from the Five Colleges of Ohio (Kenyon, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan, Denison, and Wooster) to foster collaboration, drive innovation in semiconductor-related disciplines, and prepare undergraduate and graduate students for careers in this high-demand field. The center emphasizes hands-on research, curriculum development, and workforce preparation in electrical and computer engineering, physics, and statistics.
