This program, administered by the Office of Postsecondary Education (U.S. Department of Education) via the U.S. Department of Labor, funds Centers of Excellence for Veteran Student Success (CEVSS) at institutions of higher education (IHEs). The goal is to develop and sustain comprehensive, coordinated support services for veteran students to improve their academic, financial, physical, and social outcomes in postsecondary education. Funded projects must establish a Center of Excellence on campus, form a veteran student support team, provide a dedicated coordinator, monitor veteran student progress, and develop sustainability plans. The program also encourages innovative outreach, supportive services, and transition activities tailored to veteran needs.
