The Simons Foundation and Simons Foundation International aim to strengthen basic science and mathematics in Ukraine by funding eight to ten Centers of Excellence (CoEs) through a competitive open call. Each CoE is envisioned as an academic unit with robust research and training programs in computational, data-driven, and theoretical basic science, as well as mathematics. Proposals may also include experimental or observational science as a supplement in exceptional cases.
