--- ## Description This grant supports projects that foster the development, nurturing, and consolidation of democracies in Europe, especially those transitioning from authoritarian and totalitarian regimes (including communist and fascist dictatorships). The call emphasizes remembrance and education about historical periods when fundamental rights were suppressed, recognition of acts of resistance and opposition, and the exploration of historical and restorative justice. The objective is to strengthen public trust in democratic institutions, reinforce the importance of democracy and the rule of law, and ensure that lessons from Europe's 20th-century history inform efforts to safeguard democracy today.
