--- ## Description This award honors outstanding academic writing in astronomy, specifically textbooks designed for upper-division undergraduate or graduate-level courses. The Chambliss Astronomical Writing Award addresses the lack of recognition for scholarly books serving advanced students and professionals in astronomy, highlighting works that demonstrate exceptional depth, clarity, organization, and educational value.
