The Charles A. Lindbergh Chair in Aerospace History is a distinguished 12-month fellowship hosted by the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum. It is intended for senior scholars and accomplished non-academic writers who are working on, or planning, a major book or significant scholarly research project in aerospace history. The fellowship provides a unique opportunity to engage deeply with Museum staff, participate in seminars and colloquia, and contribute to the Museum’s academic environment through presentations and collaboration.
Fellows are expected to be in residence in Washington, DC, and to actively participate in the Museum’s scholarly community. The primary goal is to support the completion of a major publication that advances the field of aerospace history.
