Description
This grant opportunity aims to enhance community responses to domestic violence incidents where children are present by fostering collaboration between child welfare agencies, domestic violence agencies, and other partners at the state, local, or tribal level. The funded projects must actively involve individuals with lived experience of the child welfare system and/or domestic violence in key decision-making processes such as planning, implementation, and evaluation of services.
The overarching goal is to ensure families affected by domestic violence, or at risk of child welfare involvement, receive timely access to trauma-informed, individualized services that improve their safety and well-being. This initiative focuses on building capacity to strengthen partnerships and improve service coordination to better support these vulnerable families.
