This program supports research aimed at understanding and improving the psychosocial aspects of hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. It is intended for professionals and graduate students in allied health disciplines (nursing, physiotherapy, social work) and seeks to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families affected by these conditions. Projects may address topics such as integration of psychosocial and biomedical care, quality patient services, mental health, education, vocational issues, and development of patient/professional learning tools. Multidisciplinary and collaborative proposals are encouraged. All proposals undergo rigorous peer review and must adhere to Canadian ethical research standards.
