Summary: Supports AI/AN tribes and organizations in planning and developing comprehensive, community-based mental health systems of care for children, youth, and young adults up to age 25.
This grant opportunity supports Federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribes, tribal organizations, Urban Indian Organizations, and consortia of such entities in planning and developing comprehensive, community-based systems of care (SOC). The SOC model is a coordinated network of effective mental health and essential supportive services designed to address the diverse needs of children, youth, and young adults (birth through age 25) and their families. The approach emphasizes that mental health services should be family-driven, youth-guided, and rooted in the community.
