This fellowship supports UCLA doctoral candidates whose dissertation research requires extensive use of the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library’s unique collections. The library’s resources span the 16th to 20th centuries and cover diverse topics including literature, music, science, cultural studies, queer studies, and more. The program aims to foster deep scholarly engagement and original research that makes significant use of the Clark’s primary source materials. One or two fellowships are awarded each year for a nine-month, in-person residency at the Clark Library.
