The Clark/Oakley Humanities Fellowship is a collaborative residency program offered by the Oakley Center at Williams College and the Research and Academic Program at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute. It is designed for national and international scholars in the humanities whose research takes an interdisciplinary approach to the visual, such as visual culture, art, or visual media. The fellowship provides a stimulating environment for advanced research, including office space at the Oakley Center, housing at the Clark scholars' residence, and integration into the intellectual communities at both institutions. Fellows are expected to participate in weekly lunchtime forums and other scholarly activities. The standard fellowship term is one academic year, though one-semester appointments are also possible.
