The Classroom Mini-Grant Program is designed to help students in South Carolina learn about agriculture as an essential part of daily life through hands-on classroom projects. Offered by the South Carolina Farm Bureau Young Farmer and Rancher program, the grant supports teachers in public and private elementary, middle, and high schools who develop projects involving production agriculture or activities related to growing and producing food or fiber. Eligible projects may include cultivating crops, composting, soil nutrition, or other effective farming practices, and must directly engage students. Each project is guided by a county Farm Bureau volunteer leader and supported by a state Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) committee member to enhance educational impact and student involvement.
