Description
The Clean Vessel Act Grant provides funding to municipalities, agencies, nonprofits, educational institutions, and tribal governments for projects that improve sewage disposal infrastructure for recreational boating. The program aims to reduce water pollution by supporting the installation, operation, and maintenance of pump-out and dump stations, including floating restrooms and related facilities, as well as educational outreach to boaters about proper sewage disposal practices. Funding is federally sourced and administered through the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation in partnership with the Division of Wildlife Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
