The William L. Clements Library Fellowships provide funding for scholars, artists, independent researchers, and graduate students to conduct research using the library’s extensive primary source collections focused on American history, culture, and related fields. Fellowship categories include long-term, short-term, week-long, and digital awards, each tailored to different research needs and durations. Named fellowships target specific topics such as Great Lakes history, Revolutionary America, Native American studies, Atlantic and Caribbean history, journalism, cartography, visual culture, and more.
