The program is designed to build equitable access to green jobs and professional development for individuals from Priority Populations and/or Disadvantaged Communities. Host employers receive funding for fellows’ salaries and supplemental professional development, while fellows participate in a cohort-based model with mandatory training and support services.
Fellows are expected to engage in activities such as community outreach, clean energy project development, partnership building, and supporting climate innovation. NYSERDA partners with various organizations to maximize resources and professional growth opportunities for fellows.
