Description
The Climate Smart Land Management Program (CSLMP) funds projects designed to increase climate resilience, support conservation, and advance nature-based solutions on California’s natural and working lands. Grants are intended to build the capacity of local, tribal, regional, and statewide organizations to implement the State's Natural and Working Lands Climate Smart Strategy and the Pathways to 30x30 initiative, which aims to conserve 30% of California’s lands and coastal waters by 2030. Funding may be used for capacity building, technical assistance, strategic planning, project development and permitting, and demonstration projects that contribute to climate adaptation, carbon sequestration, and equitable landscape management.
