The Clinical and Translational Pilot Grants Program, administered through the Delaware CTR ACCEL Program and funded by the Medical University of South Carolina, supports research projects that accelerate clinical and translational science with the goal of improving health outcomes—particularly for Delaware residents. The program offers two main types of awards: Regular Clinical & Translational (C&T) Pilots (1 year) and Community Engagement C&T Pilots (18 months). These pilot grants are designed to provide research teams with the resources and data needed to build a strong foundation for future independent external funding, especially from NIH sources. All projects must include a community engagement plan, and community-engaged pilots require substantive collaboration with community partners.
