Description
The Dravet Syndrome Foundation's Clinician-Researcher Awards are designed to support early-career clinicians in gaining hands-on experience through patient-oriented clinical research projects focused on Dravet syndrome. The program funds hypothesis-driven studies that have the potential to significantly advance understanding or treatment of Dravet syndrome, slow or halt disease progression or comorbidities, and/or reduce mortality. Awardees are expected to work directly with patients and under the guidance of a clinical research mentor, with projects such as therapeutic interventions or extensions of clinical trials encouraged. The initiative aims to foster the development of clinical research skills among new clinician-investigators and to generate impactful discoveries that address the needs of the Dravet syndrome community.
