Summary: Supports research to develop, refine, or validate scientifically acceptable alternatives to animal testing for chemical and formulation safety assessment.
The Colgate-Palmolive Grant for Alternative Research, administered by the Society of Toxicology, is designed to advance the development, refinement, and validation of scientifically acceptable alternative methods to animal testing. The grant supports projects that facilitate the safety assessment of new chemicals and formulations while reducing reliance on animal-based research. High priority is given to projects employing in vitro or non-animal models, particularly in the fields of reproductive and developmental toxicology, neurotoxicology, systemic toxicology, sensitization, or acute toxicity.
