Description
This funding opportunity aims to foster challenge-driven, cross-sector collaboration in nanotechnology and advanced materials. The goal is to develop new knowledge and technology, strengthen research competence, and address significant societal challenges through responsible research and innovation (RRI). Projects must involve multiple sectors, utilize relevant national or international research infrastructures, and integrate RRI principles throughout the project lifecycle.
Thematic priorities include:
- Technology development for competitiveness, preparedness, sovereignty, security, and/or green transition.
- Basic technology development.
- Competence building for the future use of international infrastructure such as the European Spallation Source (ESS).
Projects are expected to use cutting-edge research infrastructure outlined in the Norwegian Roadmap for Research Infrastructure and to embed methods for anticipating, inviting, reflecting, and responding to societal needs.
