This grant supports joint projects between American and Armenian scholars and institutions dedicated to preserving and conserving Armenia’s archaeological and historical heritage. The program encourages substantive and sustainable collaborations that enhance the curation, restoration, stabilization, and long-term protection of heritage materials, including artifacts, sites, and manuscripts. Eligible projects may involve restoration of threatened remains, digitization, cataloging, enhancement of conservation facilities, and advanced training for specialists. The purpose is to build local capacity, promote knowledge of contemporary heritage management techniques, and foster enduring partnerships for safeguarding Armenia’s cultural legacy. Active participation from both American and Armenian principal investigators is required throughout the project.
