Description
This grant aims to foster collaborative research that advances new and future-oriented technologies in Norwegian food and agricultural production, including reindeer husbandry. Projects should focus on developing and applying technological solutions—such as artificial intelligence, automation, robotisation, IT, and sensor technology—to enhance efficiency, product quality, and sustainability across the value chain.
The program emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, rapid implementation, and direct involvement of real users (agriculture, food producers, or reindeer herders). Projects must address barriers to technology adoption and generate knowledge that supports a climate-friendly, resilient Norwegian food system. All projects must demonstrate relevance to Norwegian conditions.
