Description
The program funds innovative, community-based projects that break down barriers to girls’ participation in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). With a focus on K–12 girls—especially those from historically underrepresented communities—this grant supports organizations and educational institutions that provide hands-on STEM learning, mentorship from women in STEM, family engagement, and confidence-building activities. The aim is to foster STEM skills, confidence, and identity, inspiring girls to pursue further education and careers in STEM fields. Projects may be new or ongoing but must demonstrate strong alignment with AAUW’s mission to advance gender equity in STEM.
