Description
This grant supports the acquisition and establishment of community forests that provide public access, recreation, environmental, and economic benefits. The program aims to protect forestland from conversion to non-forest uses and foster community engagement, education, and sustainable forest management. Eligible entities acquire private forest land in full fee title (not conservation easements) and must ensure ongoing public access and active management for community benefit.
