The Community Grants Program is the Denver Foundation’s flagship grantmaking initiative, designed to support nonprofits serving the seven-county Metro Denver region. The program focuses on four priority areas: economic opportunity, environment and climate, housing, and youth well-being. Its core goal is to reduce racial, ethnic, and economic disparities by supporting organizations that incorporate community and constituent leadership and racial equity into their work. Preference is given to organizations demonstrating meaningful engagement with historically oppressed and low-income communities, especially communities of color. Both general operating support and program-specific requests are considered.
