Description
The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) Community Outdoor Outreach Program funds activities that bring under-represented populations into outdoor recreation, conservation, and environmental education. The program aims to build relationships with communities that have been under-represented in TPWD activities and programs.
CO-OP supports the costs of delivering hands-on programs, including personnel, travel, food, participant liability insurance, entrance fees, outdoor recreation equipment, and environmental education supplies. Priorities include access to TPWD facilities, education about Texas natural and cultural resources, and stewardship activities with tangible conservation benefits. The grant funds programming rather than facility construction.
