Description
This opportunity supports the development, implementation, or expansion of comprehensive local, state, territorial, and tribal programs in response to overdose deaths and the misuse of illicit opioids, stimulants, and other substances. The program funds a wide range of activities including law enforcement efforts to address unlawful distribution, expansion of prevention programs and access to overdose reversal medications, and treatment and recovery services both in the community and within correctional settings.
The goal is to enhance public safety and improve health outcomes by supporting effective, coordinated responses to the opioid and broader substance use crisis.
