Description
The Computer Science Teacher Equipment and Community (CSTEC) Grant is administered by the Georgia Department of Education’s Office of Teaching and Learning. It aims to give all students access and opportunities to engage in computer science by building a professional community that supports teachers’ instruction, practice, and pedagogy. A secondary goal is to promote physical computing as a way to engage students in computer science education.
The state-funded program supports professional organization membership, registration for local or national computer science conferences, and classroom sets of physical computing devices with training for implementation and use. These resources support computer science initiatives during the school year, with equipment and instruction directly related to the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Computer Science.
