The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is a flagship EU funding instrument designed to promote economic growth, job creation, and competitiveness through strategic infrastructure investments. CEF supports the development of high-performing, sustainable, and interconnected trans-European networks in three main sectors: Transport, Energy, and Digital. The program aims to address missing links and bottlenecks in Europe’s core infrastructure, making travel more efficient and sustainable, enhancing energy security, enabling greater use of renewables, and improving digital connectivity and cross-border interactions among public administrations, businesses, and citizens. Synergies between sectors are encouraged to optimize costs and results.
