The Conservation Grants program of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation supports the professional practice of art conservation, with a particular emphasis on European works of art from antiquity through the early 19th century. The program funds projects that create and disseminate specialized knowledge, such as archival initiatives, scholarly databases, documentation efforts, exhibitions, publications focused on art conservation, and technical or scientific studies. It also supports opportunities for conservators and conservation scientists to share expertise via international exchanges, conferences, symposia, consultations, research presentations, and exhibitions that highlight conservation materials and techniques.
