Description
The U.S. Geological Survey’s Woods Hole Coastal & Marine Science Center is soliciting proposals for research on the lateral, aquatic flux of materials between tidal wetlands and coastal waters across the Atlantic, Gulf, and Pacific coasts. The project aims to synthesize multi-year, high-frequency flux data collected using standardized methods, analyze spatial and temporal variability, and examine predictive controls. The funded research will advance understanding of these fluxes and their implications for coastal management and policy, with deliverables including a public dataset, metadata, and a peer-reviewed publication. The project will foster collaboration between USGS and academic partners, contributing to a nationwide synthesis effort.
