--- ## Description This grant opportunity funds collaborative research and innovation projects between the EU and India, focusing on the development of advanced technologies for producing renewable hydrogen from biogenic wastes. Targeted waste streams include agricultural, forest, municipal (biogenic fraction), sewage sludge, and industrial waste waters. Both biochemical and thermochemical conversion pathways are eligible. The call aims to: - Increase resource efficiency (carbon-to-hydrogen yield) - Reduce greenhouse gas emissions (with potential for negative carbon footprint) - Minimize environmental impacts such as pollution and water use - Significantly lower the cost of hydrogen production Projects may address advanced catalysts, process intensification, side stream utilization, and feedstock pretreatment. Proposals must include regional feedstock supply assessments, economic and sustainability analyses (life-cycle analysis), and a dedicated hydrogen safety plan.
