This program invests in creative, community-based solutions to address challenges and create new opportunities across North Dakota and the Native Nations that share its geography. Designed to empower local organizations and leaders, the grant funds projects that develop, test, and spread promising ideas that can serve as models for other communities. The selection process is led by a diverse committee of North Dakotans, and recipients receive not only funding but also technical assistance, access to subject-matter experts, and peer learning opportunities. The program does not fund general operating expenses or projects benefiting areas outside of North Dakota and the Native Nations.
