    Description

The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM), its Collaborative Research Network (CRN), and the AMSSM Foundation support collaborative research that advances clinical sports medicine practice. The CRN seeks studies addressing clinical questions relevant to AMSSM physicians and patient care, with the goal of informing practice and establishing AMSSM as a leader in sports medicine research.

The program welcomes a broad range of sports medicine topics, from population-based physical activity and wellness to specific sports- and exercise-related conditions and injuries. Both single-site and multi-site studies can receive support, but collaboration is essential. All else being equal, proposals that initiate new or extend existing collaborative multi-site research networks receive preference. There is a strong expectation that funded work will lead to future extramural funding requests.
