Description
This program supports applied research projects that address water conservation, agricultural productivity, and long-term sustainability in Kansas, with a particular focus on the High Plains aquifer region. Funded by the State Water Plan Fund, the grant encourages innovative approaches to improving drought-tolerant crops, livestock feed and forage, nutrient management, and water-use efficiency. Projects must align with the Kansas State Water Plan’s guiding principles and demonstrate measurable benefits to Kansas agriculture and/or the public.
